I'll be joining in with the 'UK's greatest free festival of visual art', the fabulous Dorset Art Weeks, running from Saturday 28th May - Sunday 12th June. My studio Venue 113 will be open and I'll also be exhibiting in a group show nearby at the lovely Whitestones Cafe Gallery & Sculpture Garden, Venue 112. Work will include pieces inspired by the coast, plus collograph and lino prints developed from my Garden Sketchbook studies of artichokes and plants. Drawings I made at Portland Bill for the Dorset Visual Arts’s Interrogating Landscape Project, and inspired by John Piper’s work on the island, are also being developed into friezes and triptychs. Keep an eye out for the DAW brochures available widely across Dorset or look at the online directory at Dorset Art Weeks.
